The key to cook and serve is to make the pudding first on the stove using just 1 cup of milk . Add 1 tub of whipped cream cheese while the pudding is still hot and stir until creamy. Once cool, add the booze and the cool whip! Cherry Pie Filling on top of Vanilla Pudding laced with Godiva White Chocolate Liquore is pretty sinful. Happy partying ladies.
How To Make Baileys Pudding Shots Or Chocolate Shots:
After making the chocolate shot glasses, we need to make the chocolate ganache or chocolate pudding for the filling in these dessert shots.
Add the cream and the chocolate chips to a microwave-safe dish. Heat on high for 40 seconds, mixing every 10 seconds until smooth and creamy.
Now add the Baileys to the pudding and mix well. The pudding for these Baileys pudding shots should be smooth, creamy and well blended.
Remove the cookie glasses from the fridge and fill a little more than 3/4 full with the pudding to make an awesome little chocolate shot.
Roll marshmallows in cocoa until well coated. Place marshmallows on a baking sheet and broil on high for 1-2 minutes. Be sure and watch the marshmallows very closely so they are not over browned.
Place a toasted marshmallow on top of each one of these Baileys pudding shots and serve.

How Do You Eat Pudding Shots
To answer this question, I have a question for you How classy is your affair? You may laugh, but thats really all that matters here. If this is a dinner party and youre serving them in shot glasses then I would recommend giving your guests cute tiny spoons to eat them with.
If youre at a backyard barbecue, a rowdy party, or a tailgate party, youre probably serving your pudding shots out of a cooler in plastic ramekins with lids. In this case, no utensils required most people will just dig in with their tongues like they do with a Jello shot.

Why Are My Pudding Shots Runny
Ive heard this question a lot and usually it comes down to not mixing them for long enough or not letting them refrigerate long enough to set. When you first mix the pudding and liquor it will be runny- dont worry about that!
Adding the Cool Whip will thicken up the mixture some, but they will thicken up the rest of the way in the fridge. If your pudding shots are taking too long to set, you may want to move them to the freezer for a few minutes.

Easy To Make Baileys Chocolate Pudding Shots
Ill admit straight-up that these look and taste more like little desserts than cocktails, but dont be fooled.
These pretty little chocolate shots are flavored with Baileys Irish Cream.
And while the recipe as is only has a small amount of Baileys Irish Cream, it is very easy to change the Baileys-to-milk ratio and make these chocolate shots a lot more boozy.
You can even up the booze ratio by adding in a touch of Jameson Irish Whiskey!

Instructions To Make Chocolate Pudding Shots:
If you dont have chocolate shavings, take a vegetable peeler and run it gently down the side of a chocolate bar until you have enough shavings.
When you measure the milk, be sure to reduce the milk by the same number of tablespoons of Irish Cream and/or Whiskey you are adding.
Line up your shot glasses or pudding cups on a tray.
Make the pudding shots:
Measure and pour the Baileys Irish Cream into a bowl.
Optional: If you are also including Jameson Irish Whiskey, measure and add the whiskey to the bowl too.
Mix the package of chocolate pudding and milk as directed on the package and add to the bowl.
Pour pudding into the cups.
If youre prone to making a mess, you may want to transfer the pudding to a cup with a lip prior to pouring the pudding.
It makes it a lot easier.
Place the cups on a tray to make it easy to move them in and out of the refrigerator.
Let the pudding cups sit in fridge for two to three hours to get nice and chilled.
Top with whipped topping and shaved chocolate.
Do You Freeze Or Refrigerate Pudding Shots
That is totally up to you. You want to refrigerate them for 30 minutes to let them set, but from there you can keep them in the fridge or move them into the freezer.
Ive heard that some people will store them in the freezer so they last longer and then move them into the fridge to thaw out before serving, but theyre delicious frozen too! Like an extra creamy ice cream yum!

Chocolate Pudding Shot Ingredients
Made with just 5 ingredients, these chocolate pudding shots are totally delicious. AND deceptively strong for their small size thanks to a cup each of Baileys Irish Cream and whipped cream flavored vodka.
The original recipe calls for espresso vodka, which sounds fabulous but is about as common as a unicorn around here. Seriously, Ive been to every store I can think of and have yet to find even a single bottle.
Its completely optional, but espresso powder is known for intensifying the chocolate flavor in recipes. And I really love the subtle flavor boost it provides. Many of my friends compare the taste to to the light chocolate flavor of a classic Wendys Frosty. #yum
The remaining three ingredients are simply a package of chocolate pudding , a tub of Cool Whip topping, and a cup of milk. Thats it easy-peasy!
How Long Do Pudding Shots Last
Frankly, Ive never tested how long pudding shots last, because leftovers just arent happening. But Id say that they should last about 2 months in the freezer and about 5-7 days in the fridge.

What Alcohol Goes In Chocolate Pudding Shots
You have options! I find that alcohol that is flavored with things that sound like they belong in desserts is best in Pudding Shots. Look for vanilla, chocolate, coffee, banana, and maple-flavored alcohol.
Try any of these, or a combination of them to flavor your pudding shots. In total, you should add 1 cup of alcohol to the recipe. I suggest using half liquor and half of a lower alcohol content liqueur , for balance.
- Vodka: Whipped cream vodka, vanilla vodka, marshmallow vodka, cinnamon vodka, or any vodka with a dessert-like flavor.
- Whiskey: Screwball peanut butter whisky, Crown Royal vanilla-flavored whiskey, coffee-infused whiskey, maple whiskey there are so many awesome flavors now!
- Rum: Try coconut, banana, or orange-flavored rums in chocolate pudding shots to add some tropical flair! Vanilla rum is also an excellent replacement for the vanilla vodka in this recipe.
- Coffee Liqueurs: Look for Kahlua, Patron XO Cafe, or use your favorite coffee liqueur. I get a delicious one from a local small distillery that would be amazing in pudding shots!
- Cream Liqueurs: Baileys Irish Cream is a classic, but you can also look for coconut cream, vanilla cream, and chocolate creamy alcohol.
- Other Liqueurs: Leave the coffee out of it, and choose a different flavor instead. Try Ameretto, Frangelico, chocolate liqueurs from Godiva, or butterscotch schnapps.

Question: do the Irish love mint or did they just get stuck with it because St. Patricks Day = green?

Can I Make Chocolate Pudding Shots Ahead Of Time
Yes, you can.
Even though the pudding shots come together in about half an hour in the fridge, if you need to make them ahead of time, you can definitely do that the day before.
How long do pudding shots last in the fridge?
About a day.
If you make them longer than a day before, they dont taste as good.
The pudding isnt quite as creamy, and they just dont have that pizzazz.
To make them ahead of time, simply make the pudding shots and leave off the whipped cream and chocolate shavings until its time to serve.
If youre making them in little plastic cups that have lids, definitely use the lids to help keep them fresh.
If youre making them in shot glasses or cups, you may cover them with plastic wrap either individually or you can cover the whole tray.

Tips For Making Pudding Shots:
Remember when using any alcohol that is more than 80 proof can make your pudding shots runny.
Most vodkas run at 80 proof and that is usually the highest alcohol content booze I use so you should be fine.
But always good to check.
Dont skip the Cool Whip.
Many people ask can they use whipped cream instead.
Yes, you can.
However, make sure that you do not use the kind out of a can.
That will not hold up.
Ive always made mine with Cool Whip just because I feel it holds it shape better in pudding shots.
Be sure to chill them for at least 30 minutes.
While I say to chill them for at least 30 minutes I usually end up chilling them for much longer.
Often I make up the pudding the night before and place it into an airtight container and then scoop the day of the party.
Saves time on the day of the party.
P.S. Its a great day to buy my cookbook Holy Sweet!

It was so much fun mixing up the creamy pudding mixture and pouring it into shot glasses. We added just a touch of Baileys to give it that delicious Irish flavor. And then came the best part: topping each shot with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
We laughed and joked as we put the finishing touches on our shots. Then, we all took a sipand let out a collective moan. These shots were insanely delicious! We quickly downed them all and called for more.
